I 💖 the freedom that my husband and I have now whenever we bring the kids out. They will busied themselves with their own play and seldom rarely do we have to monitor them every second. I guess, as parents, we need to let go a little bit at a time to let them be independent without us, as being helicopter parents.
While at a table waiting for lunch, I took a snapshot of them, playing by themselves. They were sliding down their Percy trains and laughing to each other. There were other kids around, yet they learned to be gracious by giving in to others and ensuring that their actions do not compromise the safety of others.
